Moodabidri: Mangalore University has emerged as the champion and runner-up respectively in the women’s and men’s category of the All India Inter-University Cross Country (Hill) Championship held at the Presidency University, Bangalore on February 12. Out of the six students who competed in both the categories, five each were athletes from Alva’s College.
Poonam (second) and Basanti (fifth) of Alva’s College have secured the position in women’s category. Upendra Baliyar (1st) and Harish (3rd) from Alva’s College got the men’s category.
Dr. M Mohan Alva, President of Alva’s Education Foundation congratulated the successful athletes.
