Moodabidri: The Block Congress staged a protest on Thursday, alleging that the circle was being constructed in an unscientific manner near the Moodabidri-Bantwal, Moodabidri-Dharmasthala road.
Former minister K Sivakumar addressed the protest. It was discussed in the municipality that the name of Abhayachandra Jain, a pioneer of Moodabidri development, Social Mandir, Mahavira College, Founder of GV Pai Hospital, SN Moodabidri, should be nominated for the circle.
But the ruling party has accused him of making a different name and is now corrupting all the works in all the works. He said that if the circle that is being built in an unscientific manner is not corrected, a rally will be held in front of the PWD department.
Municipal councilor Suresh Kotyan said that the work on the circle has begun the past week and the circle is being built in an unscientific manner. If there is any disaster here, it is due to the administration of the municipal BJP. He warned that there will be protest if the unscientific circle is not removed in 2 days and a proper one built in its place. He suggested to name the circle as SN Moodabidri.
