Moodabidri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is very important that Make in India is expanded.
He was speaking after dedicating Rs. 3800 Crore worth four projects of New Mangalore Port Authority. He said along with Make in India it is important that exports are increased and there is a world market for our products in competitive cost. For this our logistics needs to be strong. This is the reason for the last eight years we have provided emphasis to developing infrastructure, he said.
Prime Minister handed over Kisan Credit Cards to three fish farmers, Himakara Kotian from Sasihithlu, Manoj from Bengre and Shrinivas Puthran, Kulai. Vani G Salian from Pandeshwara, Rekha from Shivanagara and Sujith Suvarna, Bengre were the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.
Further, PM said that the development projects launched in the District will boost the region’s economy as it will aid exports. Shippinh products made in Karnataka under the One District One Project (ODOP) will be made easy too, he said and added that the ‘double engine’ is working towards giving people dignified living.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that CRZ Master Plan for Karnataka has been approved, which is definitely among many other achievements of ‘double engine’ State Government. He thanked Prime Minister for his support in State’s endeavour.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Mangaluru to lay the foundation stone of various projects of the NMPA. Earlier, he was received at the City Airport by Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
