Moodabidri: Former minister K. Abhaychandra Jain has thrown a challenge to the present minister of Moodabidri, who keeps saying that he is poor, even though he is earning in crores by awarding works to his relatives, should prove how many crores rich he is.

He addressed the protest held in front of the Taluk administration building on Wednesday on behalf of the Block Congress against corruption in various government departments including the Taluk office and the behavior of MLA Umanatha Kotyan.

The MLAs who used to say that the previous MLAs were rich, are now rich by ten folds than us and yet say they are poor. Rickshaw drivers during his MLA term are now millionaires. Relatives of MLAs are becoming billionaires, this shows how good MLAs are. Taking down the IB is not the work of a man who eats rice. It is not right to encourage sand traders. He alleged that MLAs are involved in many corruptions and Nandini is providing milk dairy to the party workers in front of the Taluk administration building without taking permission from the municipality.

He said that the MLAs who are doing all other works at high speed should be active about UGD and the market.
KPCC Secretary Mithun Rai said that BJP is the government of corruption. He alleged that the MLAs and their cronies are there for 40% commission and loot the government coffers.

Suresh Kotyan, Municipal Councilor, Koragappa, Alveen Menezes of Raitha Sangh addressed the protest.
Municipal Council members Suresh Prabhu, Himayuthul, Purandara Devadiga, Jossi Minajes, Puttige Gram Panchayat President Praveen Shetty, Padumarnadu Gram Panchayat Vice President Abhinandan Ballal, Block Congress President Valerian Sequeira, Mahila Congress President Congress Spokesperson Rajesh Kadalkere, panchayat members participated in the protest.
A petition was submitted to Taluk Tehsildar Satchidananda Satyappa Kuchanur.
