Moodabidri: Donning traditional costumes during Moodabidri Ganeshotsava, five youth of Niyut team under auspices Jawaner Bedra collected donations totalling Rs. 1.03 lakh for the treatment of little girl Shriya, a cancer patient.
The Niyut team members are Thejas, Dheeraj, Murali, Sadashiva, Kishan Raksha, Shramik and Yakshita. The funds were collected during Ganeshotsava celebration at Swaraj Maidan here on Sunday September 4.
The collected funds were handed over to the family of 1.5-year-old child suffering from cancer, Shriya at Jawaner Bedra’s Office on Tuesday September 6. Niyut members handed over the funds in the presence of Jawaner Bedra President Amar Kote, Narayan Padumale, Manu Acharya and other members.
