Moodbidri: It is not right to look at worship from a commercial point of view. Devotees and those associated with it should continue the original legacy of prayer. Sri Mahabaleshwar Swamiji of Kanyana Kaniyur said that it is the responsibility of the devotees to convey divine worship to the next generation.
He blessed the 5th-anniversary function of Tulunada Daivaradhana Rakshasa Chavadi Moodbidire Zone held on Sunday at Madadangadi School Building, Valpadi.
Former Minister K. Abhayachandra Jain inaugurated the programme. God worship is the heritage of Tulunad. We worship God. This is the culture of the original inhabitants, he said.
KPCC General Secretary Mithun Rai spoke as the chief guest and said that divine power instils fear and devotion in us. The deities we worship become the forces that warn us when we go astray. We have to look at divine dancers as divine incarnations. His words are the words of God. The families of sacred dancers should be brought into the mainstream of society. He felt that his children should get a better education and occupy high positions.
