Moodabidri: A fire has broken out in more than ten acres of government and private land near the Ontikatte Kadalkere nature reserve here and the fire brigade officials and forest department officials are struggling to douse the fire.

A fire broke out around 11 am around the Kadalkere fire brigade office and a residential house in Nelligudde, Kadlagudde area. A row of nature sanctuaries, tree-lined Thimmakka Park, near Kadalkere industrial area has been filled with smoke.
