Moodabidri: One of the 18 Basadis here, Hire Amman’s Basadi is being renovated at a cost of one crore rupees and was launched on Saturday by installing the idols of God in Balalaya.
General Secretary of the Restoration Committee, Rajavarma Bailangadi gave details of the conditions to be followed by the office bearers during the period of restoration and expressed the determination to complete the work within the stipulated period.
Diamond encrusting of the Vigraha, flooring of sanctum sanctorum and granite walls, modernization of namaskara mandapam , renovation of gopuram, new flagpole, renovation of Ammanavara Basadi, Kshetrapal Gudi, Nagabasadi will be developed.
Rehabilitation Committee Executive Chairman K Abhaya Chandra Jain, Constituency Administrator Bhaskar S Kattemar’s son Anant Kesari, Vice Presidents Chautara Palace Kuldeep M, Srinath Ballal, Rajendra Kumar Jain, Secretaries Mitrasena Indra, Sampath Kumar, Ranjith Tamanangadi, Treasurer Pushparaj Jain, Members Jayraj Kambali, Swami Prasad, Rajesh, Vilas, Suraj Ariga, Shantikumar, Suvidha Indra and others were present.
Gunavarma Indra, the priest of Basadi, performed the religious rites.
