Moodabidri: MLA Umanatha Kotyan has demanded that immediate action be taken to fill these vacant posts as there is a shortage of PDOs and village accountants in the villages of his constituency.
He raised the issue during the session’s question and answer session. He said that only one PDO has been given to two or three villages and one village accountant has been given to five or six villages. He said that due to this, the daily work of common people is getting delayed.
Responding to this, Minister of Public Works CC Patil said that the process of recruitment of PDO and village accountants is going on. This problem will be resolved as soon as possible, and where there is an urgent need, action will be taken to appoint someone else.
