Shirtadi Coastal Friends celebrate Tenth Anniversary

Moodabidri: The youth are getting away from our culture. We are destroying our culture by giving mobile phones to children. If anything remains of Tulunad culture today, it is from the women of the village. Kemaru Isha Vithaladasa Swamiji said that the youth should not surrender to the western culture but should preserve and develop our culture.

He blessed the 10th anniversary ceremony of Coastal Friends of Shirtadi.

MLA Umanatha Kotyan, KPCC Secretary Mithun Rai, and former APMC President Praveen Kumar participated in the meeting presided over by Shirtadi Gramm President Santosh Kotyan.

Lewis Saldanha, Srikanth Borugudde, Journalist Ashraf Valpadi, Kumari Pooja Shirtadi of Yakshagana Constituency, Ranjith of Amma Sounds in Industry, Ganesh Aliyur of Drama and Sridhara Pujari Shirtadi and Suresh Pujari, Mangila were honored in Kambala Constituency. Sandeep Salyan, convener of Karavali Friends, was felicitated by Friends Circle.

Coastal Friends Founder Sandeep Salyan Committee Chairman Vijay Salyan, Secretary Gopal Gundappu, Vice President Satish KC, Secretary Prashant Valpadi, Treasurer Lohit Sanil, Members Ganesh Borugudde, Nitish Konaje, Rajesh Montradi, Satish Daddalpalke, Sudhakar Daregudde, Nivesh Konaje, Suchendrana Koje, Nagesh Borugudde, Rohit Pacchanadi, Vivek Valpadi, Ranjit Savya, Ashok Kaze, Prasad Borugudde and others were present on this occasion.

Gurkare Yakshagana was performed by Hiriyadka Mela.
