Moodbidire: Several development works are going on in the municipality. Sanku has been set up by appropriating grants from various projects. Seashore is being developed at a cost of Rs.9.98 crore in order to develop Moodbidire as a tourist destination in a comprehensive way to make it recognized at the international level. MLA Umanatha A. Kotyan said that a proposal has been submitted to the government to make Konajekallu a tourist destination.

Various works under the Public Works Department’s road improvement project totaling Rs.5 crore 20 lakh, and the open fund grant of Rs.2 crore 68 thousand of the 15th financial plan of Moodbidire Municipality for the year 2022-23.
The market work in the development has been stagnant for five to six years. As there is a court injunction, it is impossible for us or the municipality to develop it. However, those concerned with the market are responding very quickly and providing all the necessary supplementary documentation. He said that it is expected that this problem will be solved as soon as possible.

Municipal Chairman Prasad Kumar presided and said that works worth Rs.  7 Crore have been completed. And under the special grant of the Chief Minister, most of the development works worth 2 crore rupees have been completed and some works are still going on, he said that out of 10 crore rupees 4 crore 74 lakh has been earmarked for various works in Nagarottanna and its works are going on. He also informed that a grant of 20 lakhs has been earmarked for old age salary and disabled persons coming to the municipality.

Standing Committee Chairman Nagaraja Pujari, Municipal Council Vice President Sujata Sasikiran, Muda President Meghnath Shetty, Councilors Rajesh Naik, Shakuntala Devadiga and other councilors were present.

Chief Indu.M, Engineer Padmanabha Ganiga narrated the program.
