Photographer Jinesh Prasad receives National Chitranjali Award

Moodabidri: In the Chitranjali National Photography Competition, international photographer Jinesh Prasad of Polru fame won first place and was awarded a cash price of Rs 1 lakh by Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel in a ceremony held at Janpath, Delhi last Sunday.

Internationally renowned photographer Jinesh Prasad has received the highest award at the Indira Gandhi National Center for the Author Chitanjali award ceremony organized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Originally from Nellikar in Karkala Taluk, Jinesh Prasad, a resident of Moodabidri, has been a photographer for the past three and a half decades, capturing artistic and creative images. It is special that his artistic photographs have already received more than 500 national and international awards.

Many of his attractive photographs have been published in national and international magazines. The pictures clicked by him on the occasion of Kambala, Mahamastakabhishek, Kumbh Mela, Nemotsava, Nadavali are famous. Jinesh Prasad is active with photography organizations of India and abroad
