Moodabidri: Education Department officials showed negligence to the students of the state who participated in the Republic Day program and Pariksha Pe Charcha with the Prime Minister. Prahlad Murthy, a student of Rotary School, who participated in Pariksha Pe Charcha, informed the press conference that a complaint has been submitted to the Children’s Helpline and the Prime Minister’s Office via Twitter, and the Prime Minister’s Office has promised to investigate.
I was among the four selected from Karnataka state and represented the state in the drama category in the national level kalotsava held in Odisha and got second place. Considering this achievement, I was given the opportunity to participate in the examination debate. DSERT, a part of the Education Department of the Government of Karnataka, had to take full responsibility for the students representing the state for the Kalotsava and the examination debate program.
Due to improper communication and irresponsible behavior of the Nodal officials, the students were unable to participate in the program on time and faced severe difficulties. Later, with the cooperation of MPs, MLAs, and Swamiji of Pejawar Math, I got an opportunity to participate in the program as a guest. Due to the irresponsibility of the authorities, the students of Karnataka have suffered greatly. A flight was arranged for the students representing other states to go to Delhi. The officials of Karnataka had washed their hands after arranging the railway ticket. They also caused trouble by not arranging tickets in a single coach. He complained that they had made a mess in the dining arrangements as well. I have complained with the good intention that our bitter experience should not happen to other students. Prahlad Murthy alleged that nodal officer Mahadevamma was pressurizing him through escort officer Chhaya to withdraw the complaint.
Rotary Education Society President Narayan PM, Vice President Abdul Raouf, Heads of various departments Mohan Bhatt, Sheela Kantaraj, Rupa Mascarenius, Tilak Anantavir Jain, Praveen Chandra Jain, Mohan Hosmar, Satish, Nitish Kumar, Gajanana Maratha were present.
