Moobidire: Alva’s College, which won the first position in one-act play and second position in folk dance, was selected for the national level competition in the 36th Inter-University South East India Zone Youth Mela held under the auspices of Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi and New Delhi Association of Indian Universities. Alva’s College team represented Mangalore University.
The play Duryodha directed by Bhuvan Manipal and designed by Ujwal UV under the guidance of Jeevanram Sulya, director of Alva’s Ranga Study Center won the first prize.
A folk dance directed by Suresh Kumar came second. Dr. M Mohan Alva, President of Alva’s Education Foundation, which provides free education under the adoption scheme for cultural talents, congratulated the winners.
