Moodabidire: In collaboration with Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, Department of Women and Child Development, Rural Child Development Scheme Mangalore, and Thenkamijaru Gram Panchayat, the newly sanctioned Anganwadi Centers for Badgamijaru Village Minderi and Karikumeri Annappa Nagar under Thenkamijaru Gram Panchayat were inaugurated on Monday by MLA Umanatha A. Kotyan.
Kotyan, who spoke later, said that the Anganwadi center sanctioned on the demand of the people of Minderi area in Tenkamizar has now been ordered to start in a temporary shed. The place for constructing the Anganwadi has already been decided and efforts will be made to provide the required grant for the construction of the Anganwadi Center. The Anganwadi Center will be established in its own building as soon as possible. He said that the order has been given to the CHO to start its own health center which is required for the Karikumeru area at Santhekatte in Ashwathpur.
On the same occasion, the kits provided by the Labor Department were symbolically distributed to the workers.
