Gandhinagar; 50th year Public Satyanarayan Puja organised

Moodbidire: Karinje Shri Muktananda Swamiji said that in today’s era where forgetfulness is natural, there should be an act of honoring and commemorating the people and elders who have made sacrifices and hard work on the path that the committee has shown. He blessed the night meeting held at Gandhinagar, Moobidire on the occassion of 50th year Public Satyanarayan Puja.

Public Sri Satyanarayana Pooja Committee President Jayarama Kotyan presided.

MLA Umanatha A. Kotyan, former minister K. Abhayachandra Jain, municipal president Prasad Kumar, president of Alva’s Education Institute Dr. Mohan Alva, businessman K. Shripati Bhat, Innerwheel ex-president Jayashree Amarnath Shetty, Municipal ward member Divya Jagdish participated. Committee Vice President Dinesh NaÊk, Dinesh Patlabari, Dinesh M.K., Treasurer Sadananda Pujari office bearers were present on the stage.

Maruru Khandiga Ramdas Asranna, who has been conducting Puja Kainkarya for the past 24 years, was specially honoured.
Fellow committee members Ashoka Amin, Mahabala Kotyan, theater artist Achyuta Anchan, Swachthe Karmike Chingu, Karnataka State Folk Academy Honorary Karaga Dance Artist Venkatesh Bangera were felicitated. Reshma Premanath Karkera, Jayanthi Sudhakara, Vinuta Anand, Vimala Harish read the felicitation. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various sports competitions.

Jayaram Kotyan welcomed and proposed. Rajeeva S. gave details of the results of the sports competitions. Secretary Harish M.K. saluted Narrated by Dhananjaya Moodbidire.
Later, “Ajje Koragajje” was performed by Sunkadakatte Mela.
