Moodabidri: A meeting to receive complaints from the public was held at Moodabidri Forest Department Hall on Saturday on the backdrop of cutting down 2229 trees in the 27 acre government land of Survey No. 308/P1 of Kadandale village.
Assistant Conservator of Forests Satish. N presided over the meeting and said that the trees will be cleared for the proposed project and when the public was told to give their reports in writing, some of the villagers objected and some of the villagers agreed to cut down the trees and gave them in written form.
Forest Officer Hemagiri Angadi, Deputy Forest Officers Manjunath Ganiga, Ashwath Gatti, KPTCL officers Gangadhar, Yogeesh and others were present. KMF president KP Sucharita Shetty, former G.P.
