Moodbidire: With the aim of getting all the government services and benefits under one roof, a meet was held at Hema Sabha Bhavan in Aliyur for the villagers of Shirtadi JIP constituency on Tuesday. 338 families were given entitlements and 67 were given pension mandates.
MLA Umanatha A. Kotyan inaugurated the programme. Those who have built a house in the government land 4-5 decades ago have a desire to build a house on their own. But it was not possible due to several technical glitches. After proper investigation by the revenue department about those who have built their houses in the deemed forest and by removing the deemed forest clause, work is being done to issue title deeds to many people.
Moodbidire Assembly Constituency district has the distinction of being the constituency with the highest number of title deeds issued. A drinking water system has been prepared for the taluk at a cost of Rs 145 crore and the works of the pipe line are in progress. As promised during the election, Government Degree College has been brought to Moodbidire and PU College to Aliyuri. He said that commerce and computer science departments will be added to the PU college in Aliyur, from next year. The college currently has only arts department.
TAPA Executive Officer Dayawati, Beluwai Gram President Sushila, Daregudde Gram President Tulsi Mulya, Shirtadi Gram President Santosh Kotyan, Valpadi Gram President Pradeep Kumar, Nellikaru Gram President Sushila, Muda Former President Meghnath Shetty were present.
Tehsildar Satchidananda Satyappa Kuchanur welcomed. Deputy Tehsildar Ram and Tilak graced the programme.
