Moodabidri: Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MAIT) SENSIA 2023 inaugurated. The annual state-level 14th edition of the two-day inter-college cultural, technical, and management festival was inaugurated by Mr. Sivaprasad C Hiremath, Associate Vice President and Head of Global Delivery for Communication, Media and Technology Clients at Bangalore Cognizant, amidst jubilant students of Engineering and MBA Colleges at the Mait Campus.
Addressing the students, he said that large programs like SENSIA allow a student to learn organizational skills, demonstrate interpersonal skills and excel in career growth. Referring to the recent Oscar-winning film RRR, he said students should ‘identify strengths, respond to opportunities and reap the benefits by acquiring skills and advancing in their careers’.
Rajesh Chowta, Chairman, Rajalakshmi Education Trust, in his presidential address said, ‘Sensia is an integral program for MITE. Started in 2008, Sentia today enjoys wide recognition across the state, and we conduct activities with complete transparency and utmost hospitality to participants. Cencia has always provided a platform for all participating students and students of MITE to showcase their talents and skills beyond academics.
A total of 65 competitions were held from 15th to 16th March at the Mite campus, this edition of Sensia witnessed talent from all over Karnataka. More than 1000 students from engineering and management institutes across Karnataka are participating in the mega fest. The two-day event will conclude on the evening of March 16 with a special Sensia Awards Night, with popular playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan performing at the concert. A total of around Rs. 10 lakhs in prize money.
